I posted my reply to your post at PlanetVampire here in case you would see it sooner,
because if you don't send it to the game sites I listed, I intend too, though I hope you will as it is your work. Smile
It will also be nice since Wesp is planning on releasing Unoffical patch 2.5 this week, he intended on Friday
but I guess he found a few more necessary tweaks.

I guess it is best to try to send it to Dhruin or Kalia as they post most of the news. Smile

Also you should post it as a New Topic in General Discussion here at PlanetVampire. Smile
Thanks for the review I like it, though I certainly don't experience the numerous crashes you report.
I only get the random crash to DT when entering Tripps as mentioned in the Unofficial readme.

If you want help with your crashes you can make a post?

Oh wow, thanks for coming by. I didn't think my little review was such a big deal. You really think I should send the review to those places? They would honestly care? The game has been reviewed many times before. But ok I'll get around to emailing all those people soon. I'll answer the rest of your post at Planet Vampire.

"You really think I should send the review to those places?"

Sure you did a honest well written review of a great/classic but flawed RPG game. :)

I am sure others would be intrested, like I said especially with Wesp releasing Unoffical 2.5 soon, would be a nice combo, well imo. Smile
I think people see review of older games thinking "Oh I remember playing this" or " We haven't had a really good RPG in a year or two, maybe I should give this a try."

The Unoffical patch has made so much improvment of problem quest, dialogues, even technical errors and fixed map problems, Wesp has done an amazing job. Smile

Well I wonder why the 2.4 patch caused me so much technical grief. It was also missing some music, like a song that plays on a tiny radio in the basement to mansion that Jennette sends you to. And the song that plays in the intro cutscene right when you and your partner get stabbed. I heard both these songs on the 1.2 patch.

Ok after reading this I think you must need to reinstall, cause Wesp hasn't removed any music, it is much more likly it is from all the tweaks you have been using.
Have you unpack your files, i.e your vpk files?
Also what do you mean 2.4 have you played with a different version and not had problems?
If so what version, I don't recall anything like this as a problem with past Unoffical patches, problems in the Unofficial or more like broken quest or dialogue errors,
I certianly can't recall any crashes as problems and I was even helping with the Unofficial patches when Dan was working on them at release.
Another thing if the music is not playing then it could be turning off Enviormental Sounds or High Quality, remember after trying something if is does't work after about 20 or 30 minutes,
or however long it normally takes before a crash to change your settings back because if it didn't soleve your problem it could change something else.

No, I wasn't using any tweaks besides disabling auto save. I have a good enough system now that I don't need to get better performance on this game.

Yes I had properly unpacked the unofficial 2.4 patch into the right directory. I was watching the console in the game when it failed to play particular bits of music, as well as many other sound effects. The console always displayed the file path to the sound file which it could not find, and then when I looked for that path, it did not exist in the folder structure. That means the 2.4 patch somehow changed the instructions in the game data on where particular sounds are located in the folders.

If you want you can check my thread here, it is very informitive but chaotic and not completly update.
As an example if you have a favorite skin in the game from an NPC and want to use that as your PC skin
it is no longer necessary to copy the files you want to the correct PC directory, you can do it by just
editing your Vampire\vdata\system Clandoc000.txt like this.
Here is my Malk skin I use Heather's Goth outfit, as it is arguably one of the best outfits. :P

"F_Body0" "models/character/npc/unique/santa_monica/heather/heather_goth.mdl"
"F_Body1" "models/character/npc/unique/santa_monica/heather/heather_goth.mdl"
"F_Body2" "models/character/npc/unique/santa_monica/heather/heather_goth.mdl"
"F_Body3" "models/character/npc/unique/santa_monica/heather/heather_goth.mdl"
"F_Body4" "models/character/npc/unique/santa_monica/heather/heather_goth.mdl"
"F_Body5" "models/character/npc/unique/santa_monica/heather/heather_goth.mdl"

By doing it in all 5 slots it causes all armors to be the same outfit or you can make each outfit, each of Heather's
or use a different NPC for each outfit if you wish. :)

You will need to Unpack you files if you really want to see Bloodlines at its best. Smile
That link is very active it has more views than the Official Patch so if you have a question someone will
get to it. :)

It is not really to much trouble and lots of fun, just need a extra 2 gig of space for the unpacked files if you do it now it will overwrite the Unofficial
Patch but you can just recopy Unofficial after unpacking.
Another fun thing you will see in the thread is setting Jump to high making it seem more like your a Vampire at least to me, I set my Jump to 100 or 125. Smile
