Steve any tips on learning Html and Css. Can you share your experience? I always want to learn but i get bored. I start and then I don't finish. Same for you at that time? Thanks, I saw your homepage link from racketboy's site and I ended up just reading all your main page, lol.

Thanks for checkin the site, and noticing the attention to code detail. I still really only know the fundamentals, but this was the primary source I used:

http://htmldog.com/

Follow the 6 tutorials on the left, and you're off to a good start.

After that, I found that this site was pretty handy when I needed a quick answer or two:

http://www.w3schools.com/

Here's another quick link that came in handy quite often, especially when I was linking many files through my anti-leech, and often running across non-standard characters:

http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_urlencode.asp

Anything else I had to learn was acquired from specific articles which were linked off of the above sites. Hope that helps.

Thanks, Mozgus! Also a few things. Why don't you have that cool avatar on Racketboy's forum?
Also the old aliases, it was clever and balsy to write those, put a smile on my face and as I read on I laughed so much.

I used to use dragonballfire.. some number! lol

Haha, yeah sometimes I really wonder if I should share those old names, but I figure there's nothing to lose at this point.

I don't use this avatar on Racket's forum because it breaks the dimensions he prefers them to be, which is 80x80. Although, he doesn't really care when people break that rule.

Thanks, mozgus. I'll keep coming back and posting.

As for an introduction. My name is Manny, 21. I am a title searcher (bleh!, but it pays) in Miami. Nice to meet you.

Cool, although I'm not forcing you to. My forum is more or less just for people to contact me openly, when they have questions or suggestions about whatever. I stopped trying to keep this place alive quite a while ago. I almost solely use Racket's forum nowadays, though my position as a mod is pointless ever since he took my suggestion on using the anti-spam phpBB add-ons. I have no real use there now, lol.

Ok cool, lol. I do have a suggestion actually, rather it's more of a ,"Hey, wouldn't that be cool."

The gray background on the main page would look cool with a sort of print that just duplicates itself for a quick and easy refresher to the site, since it's still a bit alive, lol. Ex: maybe a small kirby over and over, or a two color background with small shapes, etc.

I'm so terrible on actual artistic design. I toyed with those kinds of ideas before, and I eventually just landed on the plain, textured mass you see now. It didn't take away from the inner content, and I guess that's all I wanted. Something like a looped animated gif character just seems tacky and unprofessional, which I even avoided since my start in 1998, despite the GeoCities and Xoom pages I affiliated with back then. Ironically, I use exactly that on my YouTube page, since the YouTube community is mostly 14 year olds who just get such a kick out of that stuff:

At least I can say I ripped the GIF from the game myself.

But I do agree my site needs a color scheme. Then again, so does my standard grey WinXP "Classic" desktop. If I can't feel comfortable with colors on my taskbar, I certainly won't feel comfortable with it on my site.

Side note, I'm still annoyed at how Internet Explorer doesn't render my 3D ridges on my page properly. They just look like thick black lines.
