I know what you're thinking. Why would I rip the music from Fighters Megamix, when nearly all of it was originally used in other games before it? Well honestly, I didn't like those other games. I've never been a Virtua Fighter or Fighting Vipers fan, but I found this game to be a fantastic blend of all the good qualities of VF and FV. So I decided to just try to make the best rip possible of this one game. Here's how I did it:
The Opening FMV was ripped from the AVI, which was ripped off the game disc using TmPlay, a True Motion movie viewer.
Fighting Vipers tracks were taken from the official Fighting Vipers OST. These are extended versions and they sound slightly more authentic.
Virtua Fighter 1, 2, Kids tracks were taken from their respective game's CD-DA tracks. They are extended versions.
The ending themes all had to be recorded, because they are a synthesized format in the game. They could not be digitally ripped. But still, thanks to Audicity and my Audigy ZS, I was able to get near perfect quality recordings, by removing static, normalizing, and trimming. Ending H however, has static due to poor instrument quality on the game's part. This is not due to my recording method. It cannot be helped.

Major revise of the album. I Re-ordered the tracks and referenced the OST for track names and individual tag info. I then went hunting around on VGMdb for additional composer credits. Every track should now credit it's original composer for the respective game it originated from. I also compared the sound quality of everything and determined that my analog recordings of the ending themes actually sound better than those provided on the OST, so I kept my versions. The first track still has some minor popping, as is the limitation of the codec the game used, and since the version that the OST contained had a bunch of sound effects on top of it, I decided to keep my version. The final track, Name Entry, also has some static in both my set and the OST, so that must just be how it is. Finally, I edited the OST cover art to use with this set.
